Nel is a director, producer and writer with a reputation for making smart, thought-provoking documentaries. Her debut feature documentary Firestarter: The Story of Bangarra has screened at 25 festivals around the world, winning a Rose d'Or and every major Australian television award. Nel's prime time ABC documentaries include AACTA nominated Matilda & Me and Making Muriel. She has recently produced Capturing Cricket: Steve Waugh In India and The Truth About Anxiety with Celia Pacquola.
Prior to this, Nel developed and produced comedy and entertainment for ABC, SBS and Youtube, including a 5 year stint producing absurdist sketch group Aunty Donna.
Nel is currently directing & producing a documentary on Israel Folau for ABC television.
