In times of bitter polarisation on so many issues, creative projects that find middle ground are ever more important and often the only way we can hope to engage with each other in a meaningful manner. Because more viewpoints, context and accurate information mean better opportunities for everyone to open hearts and minds and challenge pre-conceived notions.

It also just makes for better films, showing that ‘serious' and ‘entertaining' are far from mutually exclusive.

Established in 2013 by veteran filmmaker Ivan O'Mahoney, In Films has partnered with industry heavyweights such as Participant Media, Dogwoof and Roadshow Films – many of our films have been commissioned and acquired by the likes of Netflix, HBO, BBC, Nine, Stan, Sky Arts, ABC, SBS.

Others have been released theatrically and selected at major film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, Hotdocs, Full Frame, CPH:DOX, Lo Schermo dell’Arte and the international film festivals of Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. Industry gongs include multiple wins at the Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts Awards, the Logies, the Walkleys, the Australian Director Guild Awards, the Screen Producer Australia Awards and the Rose d’Ors, among others.

We pride ourselves on being a home away from home for some of the country’s best storytellers, having collaborated with Sarah Ferguson, Tony Jones, Jessica Halloran, Kate Wild, Dan Box, Nel Minchin and Yaara Bou Melhem. Our titles include Sentient, Surviving Malka Leifer, Unbreakable – The Jelena Dokic Story, Folau, Revelation, Firestarter – The Story of Bangarra, The Whiteley Art Scandal, Bloodguilt, Unseen Skies, Matilda & Me, Hitting Home and The Queen & Zak Grieve.
